I cannot believe that our little guy is already one year old! It has been such a wonderful, blessed year... :)

Pumpkin Patch

Holidays are so much more fun and special with your little one :-) Gaige enjoyed the Pumpkins and festivites, and even brought one home that is big enough to fit inside... photo to come later ;-) Have I mentioned how wonderful it is being a mama???

Our little bundle is growing so fast... where has the time gone?!?!?! He is such a joy to our lives and he amazes us every single day :-)

Happy Easter!

This Easter was very special with our new little one, but unfortunately Darren is out of town working in Canada :-( We are missing him like crazy but are very blessed that he is keeping busy with work in this crazy economic crisis..(thank God for Skype!!!) I have added photos to our shutterfly site, (the link is to the right) to share with my wonderful family! It was so great to see everyone! Happy Easter!

A hike above Hollywood

We decided to take a hike, literally :-), and tried to make it to the famous 'Hollywood' sign, and needless to say, we didn't quite make it that far, but we did make it far enough to see a fabulous view of the city, from Hollywood to the ocean! Tiana was a trooper, she had Lola in the pet pocket (aka Baby Bjorn for pets), while I carried Gaige in a real Bjorn and Darren had the backpack full of camera gear, baby gear, lunch, etc. It was a long haul, but very rewarding!

Gaige Royce Langer

Our little boy bundle arrived on Tuesday, January 20 at 4:27 am after 25 hours of labor.... we have been so busy enjoying him, I finally made myself thumb through photos and sit down to make this post! Here are just a few photos since the excitement started at 3:30 am January 19th when I woke up to find that my water had broke :-)  Lots more to come, but here is a start... 

                                                      

Ten days and counting...

I'm starting to get a little anxious I might say... we're ready for this little one to arrive!

Full term!

Here we are, we made it! Come out, come out whenever you're ready... we're ready to meet you baby langer!

It's coming together!

Here's a first look at the baby's room, I love every bit of it! My mom made the crib skirt and the window treatments, and my grandma made the quilt and pillows :-) The walls are aqua green, even though they look blue in one picture. We're adding (and organizing and cleaning) finishing touches and I'll post more pics once it's all done! I cannot thank my mom and grandma enough for their time spent with the bedding.. it's PERFECT! THANK YOU MOM & GRANDMA!

2 Years and 33 weeks!

Darren & I celebrated our 2 Year Anniversary yesterday and had a wonderful day together! I left my cell phone at home, and tried to disappear for the day, we needed it!! We had wonderful massages at the Four Seasons, went shopping and finished the day with an amazing meal at Moonshadows in Malibu. I can't believe 2 years has passed since we got married, and I still get chills thinking about that perfect day at the Palmilla! And here I am now... with only 7 weeks left before our baby arrives, and growing by the minute!

First Trip to Texas

Last weekend I made a trip to Dallas to visit my good friend Kris and her beautiful family!  It was such a fun trip, and I got to practice a couple "mommy skills"... not sure how I did, but I know it'll all come in a short time!  I am so glad I made the trip, and her kids are amazing!  I took LOTS of notes, she's such a good mother, and she's on the top of my list for getting advice!  Dallas was beautiful, and the shopping was fabulous!  Hard to stop myself :-)

Maddie made the cutest little card with lots of fun stickers for baby langer & I, and they were so generous to give us a basket full of baby books, all wonderful books and favorites of Maddie! I know our little one will enjoy them all! 

And another one with little Grant who turned 3 months while I was there... he makes my heart melt :-)

Happy 10th Birthday, Tiana!

I cannot believe Tiana is already 10 years old! We have been part of each other's lives since she was only 5 years old, and she is sure becoming a wonderful & beautiful young lady! I feel so blessed to have such a great relationship with her, and am so glad she's part of my life. We had her birthday party at Skateland, and the kids skated until the place closed down... it was a great success! Happy Birthday T! We love you so much!

Nursery Fabric

Today I took my first sewing class, and made a square pillow! I loved it, and hope I make time soon to take another :-) After many fabric stores, I think I have found all the fabric I want to use for the nursery. With the help of my gracious grandmother and mother, I'm hoping we can all pull the bedding off together, and make most of it! I am still aiming for an aqua blue/green color for the walls. Here are swatches of the fabrics I have chosen so far... I am getting excited about the baby's room now!
