My belly is really starting to grow now, and I can't seem to eat enough! :-) We have just begun with the nursery projects, the baby's closet was re-designed and new doors should be coming in the next few weeks. Then we'll paint the room. We're going with a black & white theme in retro/vintage patterns. Then once the baby arrives, we'll add colors accordingly. (ie, aqua blue, raspberry, tangerine, grape, green apple, and yellows) We just made our first "large" baby purchase... the infant car seat. :-) The black & white pattern I like is discontinued, so I might start buying things I want in this look!

20 week pics!
Today we had our half way there ultrasound! We told the doctor that we don't want to know the sex of the baby, so we still don't know for sure what it is... I have the feeling it's a boy, and Darren is starting to think the same thing. During our ultrasound, the doctor measured the circumference of the head, the brain, the cerebellum, the heart angle and position, the abdomen, the femur. She said that everything is measuring exactly where it should be, and she did say she saw the sex of the baby, though Darren and I still don't know. We can only guess and wait and see... :-) Let us know what you think on the right!

Alaska
Here are a few of my favorite pics from Alaska... there are so many and it was so hard to narrow it down to these few... what a great trip! How beautiful it was!
We went rafting in front of a glacier, then down a river with rapids, a little nervous i got at times ;-)
who knew the glaciers are blue???

Never mind we were up at 6:30am to see these gorgeous glaciers as we cruised by... by what a sight! it was well worth rolling out of bed to see! hence the sleepy-head looks we have :-)
Darren participated in the ship's ping pong tournament almost every morning... it was pretty funny to watch all of the "pro ping-pongers" go for the gold every chance they had :-)
Husband turned into a paparazzo every now and then, i figure i shall give him credit when credit is due!... these last two are for him :-) his "great pictures"

almost halfway there!

we just got back from our alaskan cruise which was so beautiful (pictures to come), and i am feeling like between the food (24 hours a day) and a few extra weeks worth of baby growing, my belly is getting more 'round'. it may be hard to tell in the picture, but i feel like the top part of my stomach (aka, right under my chest) is also starting to fill out. i might be what they call soft, but it is already difficult to get a good night's sleep! i feel like i toss and turn all night, every night... and i still have 20 weeks to go, yikes!

This little Piglet Grew!
We had our 12 week appointment today... it's amazing how much the baby has changed in 3 weeks! We had another ultrasound and saw the baby jumping, squirming and twisting around! The heartbeat was 160 beats per minute, and all the blood tests and genetic testing have come back perfect so far! Everything is looking good and measuring just right. And... this baby sure is a little Piglet cause mama's appetite is starting to go crazy! :-) I still can't believe I'm not watching a movie... and this little person is really inside of ME!

1st Picture of Baby Langer

Darren & I got to see our baby for the first time today! We also were lucky enough to hear the heartbeat... it was beating 171 times/minute, which the doctor says is what it should be! It was so amazing to see there is really a little one in there :-)

Happy to be there safe and sound!

Darren made it to Jordan safely, and said he has about 35 crew members working for him. The men are from Dubai, Jordan, Egypt, Pakistan and other countries. He has a translator to communicate since only a dozen or so speak English. He seems to be enjoying it there, and he even got to ride a camel :-)

Off to Jordan...

Darren is gone for 8 days to Amman, Jordan for work. He will be lighting a pianist/performer by the name of Zade at the Roman Theatre there in Jordan.
The performance will be televised on PBS as we understand it. I visited Zade's website (www.zade.com) and listened to some of his music, it is actually beautiful music. I am excited to see the final product. Above is the Roman Theatre that Darren will be lighting. Reading about Jordan lately makes me wish I could join him, it looks so interesting there. Oh, how I long for the day to visit the Mediterranean! Have a great time babe, we miss you already!

We're Having a Baby!
We found out on May 20th that we are expecting a new baby! Darren & I are both so excited, and we have been spilling the beans left and right! Tiana is already thinking of names for the baby and our parents are looking forward to the new addition! I guess this means I'm officially joining the blogging world :-)
